As a Senior Lecturer at FH JOANNEUM, he shares his knowledge of communication technology, digital circuit design, and real-time computing with the tech experts of tomorrow.
Christian has always been an enthusiastic innovator. Whether perfectly planning laboratory exercises or personally supporting his students with exam preparation and final theses - he always invested full energy.
But there was one aspect that kept bothering him - his teaching materials:

Christian dreamed of teaching that would bring the complex topics of his fields to life. He wanted:

- Correct display of mathematical formulas in LaTeX format
- A clear organization of all materials
- Easy access for students - even from home
- Everything from a single source, without technical chaos
The Implementation: A Website That Does More Than Just Inform 💡
The Solution - Simply Explained
This is where we came in! Together with Christian, we developed a solution that overcomes all his challenges - a custom-designed website that serves as both a presentation tool and a learning platform.
Imagine Christian can now write down all his thoughts, formulas, and explanations in one place - simply, almost like in a digital notebook. This notebook is then transformed by our custom-programmed plugin "Ginko" so that all content is optimally displayed on the website.
The great thing about it: Christian doesn't need to know how to program or deal with complicated technology. He simply writes his content, adds his images, videos, animations, and quiz questions, and formats his text using simple markings.
The finished website is like a digital classroom:
- Christian can draw directly on the website during lectures and highlight important things
- With an air mouse, he controls the presentation while moving freely around the room
- Students can access the content from anywhere - protected by a password
- Complex formulas suddenly become understandable through sliders and animations
- Quiz elements make learning interactive and fun
The Technical Details for Those Interested
For the tech fans among you: Behind the scenes works a sophisticated system:
- Knowledge Management: We use Obsidian.md as a base - a powerful tool for structured knowledge management
- Custom Plugin: Our self-developed plugin "Ginko" translates Markdown content into a modern web application
- Frontend: The website is based on Vue.js and the Nuxt framework for optimal performance and user-friendliness
- Custom Components: Our plugin allows individual components such as interactive animations, quiz elements, and custom layouts to be embedded directly in the Markdown text
- LaTeX Support: Full support for mathematical formulas in LaTeX format
- Real-time Interaction: The drawing functions and highlighting tools are integrated directly into the presentation interface
- Responsive Design: All content is optimally displayed both in the lecture hall and on students' devices
After a brief training, Christian can now independently:
- Add new content
- Improve existing materials
- Program and integrate his own interactive elements
The result? After the very first lecture with the new system, the students were thrilled! 🤩 Excitingly prepared presentations, funny videos for variety, and interactive quiz elements now make the lessons an experience.
Christian has previously been regularly nominated for the Best Teacher Award - with his new digital concept, he's now taking teaching to a completely new level.
